Forty citizens of Kyrgyzstan who were denied entry to Russia are currently awaiting their return home at Moscow airport. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on March 26th, the Kyrgyz Embassy staff in the Russian Federation facilitated the transportation of these individuals to Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow, where they met with border control officers of the Russian Federal Security Service and representatives of Aeroflot airline.
At present, the 40 compatriots are waiting for their repatriation, receiving food and water. Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan urged its citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia.
