Over 11 settlements in West Kazakhstan region at risk of flooding
More than 11 settlements in the West Kazakhstan region are at risk of flooding due to the rising water level in the Zhaiyk River, prompting emergency responses from authorities. Minister of Emergency Situations, Chingis Arinov, is personally inspecting embankments in the region to mitigate the risk of flooding as over 100 kilometers of protective earthen embankments have been constructed since the beginning of the flood period.
