The Ministry of Education and Science has announced that the requirements for admitting students to the Presidential Lyceum "Akylman" for the academic year 2024-2025 have been changed.
The ministry highlighted that admission to the lyceum is carried out on a competitive basis. Sixth and eighth graders who have studied "well" and "excellently" in general education organizations, regardless of ownership and type of institution, are eligible to participate in the selection process. Those who have achieved the highest scores will be enrolled: 72 students from the sixth grade and 48 from the eighth grade.
The competitive selection is conducted by the lyceum administration according to the following schedule:
- For sixth graders:
- Until May 10, self-registration in the Telegram application in the group "Akylman" "Kabyl aluu - 2024" is extended through the link.
- I round: May 11 to May 16 - online testing;
- II round: May 20 to May 24 - online testing for 50 percent of students from the total number of participants who received the highest score in the I round;
- III round: May 27 to June 2 - offline testing for 30 percent of students from the total number of participants who received the highest score in the II round.
- For eighth graders:
- From May 15 to May 25, self-registration in the Telegram application in the group "Akylman" "Kabyl aluu - 2024" is open through the link.
- I round: June 1 to June 6 - online testing;
- II round: June 10 to June 14 - online testing for 50 percent of students from the total number of participants who received the highest score in the I round;
- III round: June 18 to June 22 - offline testing for 30 percent of students from the total number of participants who received the highest score in the II round.
The Presidential Lyceum "Akylman" is funded by the President's Fund and is directly subordinate to the head of state.
The Presidential Lyceum "Akylman" was established in the summer of 2023. Its main goal is the development of the intellectual, scientific, and creative potential of students. Creating necessary conditions to support and stimulate exceptionally gifted children is one of the most important directions of state policy in the field of education. The lyceum admits students after the 6th grade.
