Pilot testing as part of the preparation for the international study PISA-2025 has been postponed to the autumn. This was reported by the director of the National Center for Education Quality Assessment and Information Technologies, Baktygul Shamsiddinova.
She reminded that the trial test was planned to be conducted in Kyrgyzstan among 15-year-old students in 66 schools from April 15 to May 24.
However, jointly with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the decision was made to postpone the test to September 15 - October 15, as the final program was not ready and the tasks had not been adapted in time.
The actual study will take place in March-April 2025.
PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) is an international program for assessing students' educational achievements. It is expected that around 100 countries will participate in the PISA study in 2025. Kyrgyzstan has participated in PISA twice: in 2006 and 2009, ranking last on both occasions.
