Sadyr Japarov today, as part of a working trip to the Osh region, opened a new building of the Iskhak Razzakov School in Osh. The president's press service reported this.
It is noted that after the earthquake in 2015, the old building was declared emergency, and the students were transferred to the I.V. Panfilov School-Gymnasium. At the same time, the construction of the new building began, but the project was put on hold until 2022. Now, the new building, designed for 720 students, is ready to welcome both students and teachers.
Simultaneously, in an online format with the participation of the head of state, the opening of nine schools and two kindergartens took place across the country. Sadyr Japarov emphasized that the situation with schools in the republic is almost the same: they are deemed unsuitable for use either due to natural disasters or expired service life. Emergency buildings have been a serious problem for many years.
The president reminded that in recent years, active work has been carried out in the republic to address the issues of educational institutions to improve the quality of children's education, and large-scale school construction has begun. He stressed that in the last three years, 315 schools and 69 kindergartens have been built, and the amount of funds allocated to the education sector is increasing every year.
Sadyr Japarov named the main goal of the state to be the construction and renovation of schools, equipping educational institutions with new teaching technologies. He emphasized that each newly built school is a contribution to the development of the country, highlighting the important role textbooks play in enhancing the quality of education in schools. In this regard, last year, 574 thousand copies of books were printed for 152 million soms.
The head of state announced that as a result of the analysis conducted, it was established that, in addition to schools, books, and other issues, the main issue of quality child education is the change in teaching methods. In his speech, Sadyr Japarov raised the question of how well our educational programs meet the needs of the time in the conditions of the development of information and communication technologies and artificial intelligence. Therefore, the relevant ministry has been tasked to actively work in this direction.
As the president noted, during events related to education in schools, he often calls on parents to closely cooperate with the teaching staff and actively participate in the children's learning process. He recalled that in 2023, the Presidential Lyceum "Akylman" was established. The main goal is to prepare highly qualified personnel. Lyceum graduates in the future should take up responsible positions in the republic. They will go from ordinary employees to ministry leaders and maybe even take the post of the country's president. Only talented students with high academic achievements will be selected for the lyceum.
