Khujand Botanical Garden Marks 70th Anniversary with Stunning Blooms and History

in Culture / Tajikistan - by

On May 3, the Botanical Garden in Khujand celebrated its seventieth anniversary. Is this a lot or a little? For the trees that grow there and whose lifespan can reach several hundred years, this is quite a short period.

For example, the lifespan of a tulip tree, which has adapted well to the local climate, is 400-500 years. And an Atlas cedar imported from the Mediterranean can live even longer in its natural habitat.

We wrote about how the Khujand Botanical Garden celebrates its 70th anniversary a month ago. This time, we decided to show you what this natural and unique museum of plant life looks like in full bloom.
