From May 17 to 18, an international conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi will take place in Ashgabat. The event will be attended by ministers of culture and is reported by the online publication "Vestiabad."
The program of the international event on May 17 includes the opening ceremony of the cultural park complex "Makhtumkuli Fraghi" and a monument to the poet. On May 18, the conference will continue its work at the library and museum of the State Cultural Center and at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture.
During the sessions, issues related to the life and creative heritage of Makhtumkuli Fraghi and his contribution to world culture will be discussed. Foreign guests will have the opportunity to visit the National Museum of Turkmen Carpets and the city of Arkadag, where the equestrian group "Galkynys" will perform.
