In the building of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, a meeting of the Attestation Commission for the certification of tour guides and translators took place. This information was reported by the online publication "Vestiabad".
The commission included representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, employees of the National Administration for the Protection, Study, and Restoration of Monuments of History and Culture, as well as specialists from the State Museum of the State Cultural Center.
Citizens of the country who graduated from linguistic universities, completed special language courses (including courses from foreign universities), finished tour guide and translator courses at the Ashgabat Vocational School of Tourism, as well as employees of tourist companies with a desire to obtain a guide certificate and possessing experience in the field, were eligible to receive the guide certificate.
The certification exam included questions about the history of Turkmenistan, historical, cultural, and archaeological monuments of the country, and the development of the state during the period of independence.
