During his visit to the Namangan region on March 25th, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Gavhar Jewel Group in the Yangi-Namangan district. The enterprise has the capacity to industrially produce 1200 kg of jewelry per year, using equipment from Turkey, Italy, the USA, and Germany. The project, costing $6.5 million, has resulted in the production of 10,000 varieties of jewelry items, including gold watch casings in collaboration with foreign partners. In 2023, 270 kg of products were manufactured.

Furthermore, the facility offers custom-made jewelry through 3D modeling and has established cooperation with local jewelers, formalizing their work and increasing job opportunities. Over 100 individuals are currently employed at the plant. President Mirziyoyev discussed industry development and legislation with Turkish entrepreneurs and visited the production facilities of the "Mechmash" company, known for its significant export potential.

The President emphasized the importance of enhancing gold processing capabilities in Uzbekistan, as the country exports only 6% of its gold production, lagging behind in the jewelry industry. Mirziyoyev expressed the government's commitment to creating favorable conditions for the sector's growth and outlined plans for further development. Notably, the enterprises Gavhar and Mechmash are primarily owned by Dildor Zakhidjonovna Isaeva.

In March 2021, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan disclosed gold sales volumes for the past decade, revealing the country's significant gold exports, including 687 tons of non-monetary gold from 2010 to 2020, with 100 tons exported in 2020 alone. The President's visit underscored the government's efforts to boost production, export, and job creation in the jewelry and manufacturing sectors, signaling a positive trajectory for Uzbekistan's economy.
