The National Bank of Kazakhstan (NBK) made an important announcement today on May 31, 2024, regarding the key rate.
The corresponding statement was distributed by the press service of the monetary regulator.
The Committee on Monetary Policy of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan has decided to reduce the key rate by 25 basis points to 14.50% annually with a corridor of +/- 1 percentage point.
The NBK press service mentioned that the previous decision on the key rate was made on April 12, 2024, when the National Bank of Kazakhstan kept the key rate at 14.75%.
Earlier, on February 23, the National Bank of Kazakhstan had lowered the key rate from 15.25% to 14.75%.
