in Economy / Uzbekistan - by

Asl Belgisi, the national digital marking information system, organized a conference gathering leading experts from the pharmaceutical industry, as well as media representatives and bloggers, to discuss marking aspects and its role in protecting public health.

Key conference participants included representatives from security centers, tax committees, pharmaceutical companies, and Asl Belgisi itself. Discussions revolved around the importance of marking pharmaceuticals, its development, and implementation prospects in Uzbekistan.

Digital marking plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of medical products. It helps prevent counterfeiting, ensures quality control, protects public health, and enhances market transparency, contributing to healthcare development.

Asl Belgisi's mobile app allows consumers to verify the authenticity of medicines, with ongoing enhancements to simplify medication identification for medical institutions.

Legislation regulates the mandatory marking of various goods in Uzbekistan, including tobacco, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and household appliances. A pilot project for pharmaceutical marking was launched in June 2021.

The implementation of a unified digital marking system enhances business efficiency, logistics optimization, market expansion, and revenue growth. It reduces illegal trade, logistics costs, and paperwork, fostering local pharmaceutical production.

Asl Belgisi, with over 2400 participants, including foreign pharmaceutical companies, ensures transparency, consumer protection, and increased tax revenues. Its system safeguards against counterfeiting, benefiting legitimate businesses and consumers.
