in Economy / Uzbekistan - by

During a session with the People's Deputies Council, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed allocating old government buildings in the Yunusabad district for entrepreneurial initiatives. The district is known for its high concentration of entrepreneurs striving to create job opportunities through self-investment.

The President's spokesperson highlighted the challenge faced by entrepreneurs in finding suitable locations in the district. The Amir Temur Avenue has become a hub for entrepreneurial growth over the past seven years, attracting businesses and contributing to the district's development.

Mirziyoyev emphasized the potential to increase the number of entrepreneurs and job opportunities by redeveloping the existing three- and four-story government buildings into multi-story commercial, service, and hospitality complexes, including offices and hotels with underground parking facilities.

The President mentioned that such projects could utilize the spaces currently occupied by bank branches and cover the 24.5 hectares of land currently used by government organizations in the area. Various government entities, including the archive of the Registry Office, the district tax office, the Bureau of Enforcement, the Yunusabad district administration, and the Tashkent Financial Institute, are situated along the Amir Temur Avenue.
