During a session with the Tashkent City Council on Wednesday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted numerous untapped opportunities in the Yunusabad district of the capital. He instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to conduct an inventory of underutilized state assets and approve a program to replace them with projects that will create high-income jobs in industry and services.

According to the President, there are 14 state organizations occupying 24.5 hectares in the district. By collaborating with major developers to build commercial and service facilities on these sites, it is estimated that 7000 high-income jobs could be generated.

Furthermore, President Mirziyoyev addressed the delay in constructing a new 200-bed building for the 7th city hospital. Korean investors have expressed readiness to invest $160 million to build a new multi-profile clinic with 420 beds on the old hospital site once the new building is operational.

In an effort to improve the ecological situation in Tashkent, the President tasked the Central Bank and the Ministry of Economy and Finance to develop new mechanisms for purchasing vehicles compliant with Euro-5 standards. These initiatives aim to boost economic development, create employment opportunities, and enhance the overall quality of life in the region.
