During a session of the city council on Wednesday, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to construct a 21-story building on the site of the Yashnabad branch of the Uzpromstroybank in Mahsumkuli Street, Tashkent. Currently occupying around 50 acres of land, the three-story bank branch will be replaced by the new building, with the first four floors designated for a shopping and entertainment complex, the fifth floor for the bank, and the upper floors for offices and apartments, creating 4000 job opportunities.
The initiative for this project was put forward by the Chairman of the Uzpromstroybank's Board of Directors, Aziz Akbarjonov. President Mirziyoyev praised Akbarjonov's initiative, highlighting the importance of such projects for the development of the region, particularly in Yunusabad. He urged leaders of other banks to follow suit and implement similar projects to boost entrepreneurship, job creation, and revenue generation.
