Representatives from Uzbekistan and Iran recently engaged in a video conference to discuss collaboration, as reported by the news agency "Dunyo". The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials from various ministries and organizations, including the first deputy minister of transport of Uzbekistan, the first deputy minister of mining and geology, the head of the department of the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, the deputy governor of the Khorezm region, as well as representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and other entities.
The discussions revolved around the implementation of 29 joint projects involving companies from both countries, with a total worth of 160 million dollars. The participants also exchanged views on the prospects of establishing a separate industrial zone for Iranian companies and seeking partners for 23 investment projects in the Khorezm region.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit by the Iranian ambassador Muhammad Ali Iskandari to the Khorezm region and conduct a presentation on the region's socio-economic potential and the proposed investment projects. This initiative aims to further strengthen the economic ties between Uzbekistan and Iran and foster mutual growth and development in the region.
