Top 20 Taxpayers in Uzbekistan Revealed for Q1 2024

The Tax Committee of Uzbekistan has unveiled the top 20 state and private taxpayers in the country for the first quarter of 2024. In January-March, the largest taxpayers paid over 24.5 trillion soums in taxes, a 13.4% increase compared to the same period last year (21.6 trillion soums).

Out of this, 12.5 trillion soums were contributed by 10 taxpayers with a state share. Leading this list is Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat with a tax payment of 6.22 trillion soums. Following are Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combinat, Hududgazta'minot, UzGasTrade, Uzbekneftegaz, Navoiuran, Uztransgaz, UzAuto Motors, Navoiazot, and Uztelecom.

Additionally, 2 trillion soums in taxes were paid by 10 private companies. Topping this list is the joint venture UZBAT, specializing in tobacco products, followed by Enter Engineering, Tashkent Tobacco, Capitalbank, and Hamkorbank.

Further down the list, Eriell, a petroleum service company, Unitel (Beeline), Gid License Plate, Universal Packing Masters, and Anglesey Food holding Korzinka.uz supermarkets, round up the top taxpayers for the quarter.

Comparing to the previous year, the Tax Committee did not release data for Q1 2023. However, information for the first 11 months of the previous year shows a different landscape with NGMK, AGMK, Uzbekneftegaz, Navoiuran, UzGasTrade, Hududgazta'minot, UzAuto Motors, and others leading the list among state enterprises, while UZBAT, Unitel, Eriel O.S.M.E. DMCC, Capitalbank, and others were prominent in the private sector.
