President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the presentation on the preparation progress for the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for May 2-3, as reported by the state's press service.

In 2022, the first forum in Uzbekistan welcomed over 1000 foreign guests from 56 countries. This year, the participation of nearly 2500 individuals from 84 countries is expected. Among them will be representatives of governments, leaders of major companies, as well as delegates from international organizations such as the UN, EBRD, OPEC, and SCO.

The forum serves as a platform to showcase Uzbekistan's economic potential and to facilitate agreements. The forum's agenda comprises over 40 events, including intergovernmental commission meetings. Additionally, a ceremony for launching a series of projects in Uzbekistan is planned.

The head of state provided instructions to ensure a high level of forum organization and a "comprehensive demonstration of the investment potential of each industry and region."

Furthermore, on May 3, the second plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Uzbekistan will take place. The Council, drawing on global experience, provides recommendations to the Uzbekistan government on crucial directions for investment, industrial-technological, and innovative development of the country. The upcoming session will also address issues related to enhancing the investment climate and implementing promising projects.
