Uzbekistan has announced the cessation of electricity supply restrictions starting from March 8, as confirmed by the Ministry of Energy spokesperson, Hasan Toshkhuzhaev. On Sunday, March 10, the country's power plants generated 238.9 million kWh of electricity, exceeding the daily plan by 4%. The thermal power plants utilized 48.2 million cubic meters of natural gas, 16.8 thousand tons of coal, and 4000 tons of fuel oil. The daily electricity consumption reached 223.4 million kWh, with 15.6 million kWh imported from Turkmenistan.
Moreover, consumers received 145.6 million cubic meters of gas, marking a 9% increase. The return of natural gas pressure to normal levels led to the lifting of restrictions imposed on the power supply system since February 17. As of March 8, no electricity supply restrictions were enforced in the country's regions. On Sunday, 1325 out of 1517 gas stations sold 13.4 million cubic meters of gas. Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, previously outlined measures to address potential energy resource deficits in winter, including mazut utilization for energy production, transitioning major enterprises to night operations, reducing gas supply to gas stations, and others.
