In accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan on measures to support the development of small businesses, AKDB "Business Development Bank" has been designated as the main bank for the effective implementation of a comprehensive program to support small businesses.
Under this program, short and medium-term practical training courses will be conducted in 14 small business support centers across the regions to enhance the business skills of initiators.
At the initiative of the head of state, special attention is given to applying Japanese experience and establishing cooperation with leading Japanese educational institutions during the training of entrepreneurs.
A contract was signed between the chairman of the AKDB "Business Development Bank" Sakhi Annaklichev and the president of Yamagata University, Heditoshi, during a Uzbek-Japanese business forum in Tokyo.
As per the agreement, 10,000 entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan will undergo training based on Japanese experience and mentors will be prepared. This agreement is a practical outcome of the collaboration between the bank and the university established in November 2023.
Entrepreneurs will be trained in collaboration with a prestigious Japanese university in areas such as developing business skills, creating business plans, and finding project financing sources.
Furthermore, local mentors will be trained by Japanese specialists. It is planned that mentors will conduct training for entrepreneurs in regional small business support centers in the future.
Entrepreneurs who successfully complete the practical courses under the comprehensive program "Continuous Support for Small Business" can benefit from the financial support tools implemented by the Business Development Bank.
Yamagata University, founded in 1949, is a national university of Japan and ranks among the top 600 higher education institutions globally. The university collaborates with 48 universities and institutes in 18 countries.
