Extraordinary Coordination Council Meeting in Mangystau to Tackle Regional Challenges

On June 14, under the chairmanship of the Prosecutor of Mangystau Region Aidos Maylybayev, an extraordinary meeting of the Coordination Council was held to discuss problematic issues of social and economic development and ensuring stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by the region's akim, heads of law enforcement and other state bodies, oil and gas companies, as well as other stakeholders.

During the session, the results of the analysis of the legality in the most relevant areas of the region were discussed, such as labor relations, unemployment, the oil and gas industry, water and electricity shortages, shared construction, tourism development, and more.

"To resolve the alarming situation in the region, I have been tasked with developing a concept with specific solutions. A working group has been established, which conducted a detailed analysis of each problem," noted the regional prosecutor.

The analysis revealed a complex of negative factors affecting the population's dissatisfaction in the region.

In this regard, the authorized bodies were recommended to develop joint comprehensive programs and take measures aimed at creating new jobs, actively developing greenhouse and fish farming, supporting investors in implementing their projects, developing tourist infrastructure, and more.

Furthermore, the need to pay increased attention to the issues of ideological education of youth in schools and universities was particularly emphasized.

Summing up the meeting, Aidos Maylybayev highlighted the importance of working together to resolve social and economic problems. He also noted that considering its geographical location, the region has all the opportunities for the successful implementation of the tasks set by the head of state.
