Vladimir Putin has appointed Sergey Vakunov as the new ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. By another decree, Nikolai Udovichenko has been relieved of this position. The relevant decrees have been posted on the official portal of legal acts.
The text of the documents states, "To relieve Nikolai Nikolaevich Udovichenko of the duties of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic... To appoint Sergey Ivanovich Vakunov as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic."
Prior to this appointment, Sergey Vakunov worked in the administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
