The Ministry of Energy is proposing amendments to the resolution "On approval of the medium-term tariff policy for electricity for 2021-2025" dated September 30, 2021, No. 192. The document has been put up for public discussion.
The new electricity tariffs have not been presented by the Ministry of Energy yet. They are only suggesting changes to the timing of their introduction.
The current tariff policy involves setting tariffs for all consumer groups until 2025 with an annual adjustment based on the inflation rate.
The adjustment of tariffs is planned to take effect from June 1, 2024.
"To obtain additional funds to cover the deficit in the energy sector, the project proposes to move the tariff adjustment date for electricity from June 1 to May 1," the explanatory note states.
