Kazakhstan has improved its position in the global tourism ranking, moving up from 66th place to 52nd. This was announced today, on May 22, 2024, by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MTS) of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Our country has climbed 14 positions.
"Kazakhstan now holds the 52nd spot out of 119 in the list of tourist destinations, according to the World Economic Forum's Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index. It is worth noting that in the previous ranking, Kazakhstan was in 66th place among 117 countries."

Kazakhstan received the highest ratings in the following categories:
- Price competitiveness (2nd place)
- Socio-economic impact of tourism (5th)
- Health and hygiene (23rd)
- Natural resources (30th) and cultural resources (48th)
- Human capital and labor market (43rd)
- Tourist infrastructure and services (47th)
"Kazakhstan has become the country with the highest score in Central Asia, surpassing countries such as Azerbaijan (56th), Uzbekistan (78th), Kyrgyzstan (102nd)."

As noted by the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ermek Marzhikpaev, with each passing day, Kazakhstan is asserting its position on the global tourism map with more confidence.
"Our commitment to the quality development of the tourism industry is reflected in the improvement of the ranking across various criteria, including price competitiveness, service quality, and socio-economic impact. This is an important step towards creating a favorable environment for tourism development in our country."
