How to Obtain and Renew Electronic Digital Signature (EDS)

in Economy / Kyrgyzstan - by

Electronic digital signature (EDS) is equivalent to a handwritten signature, containing digital symbols storing all necessary information about the owner. The main advantage of EDS is the ability to access services electronically through the state portal of electronic services.

One way to obtain EDS is through public service centers. Individuals need to visit the nearest center, present their passport, fill out a data processing consent form, specify the required EDS password, and then access 132 services electronically through the portal.tunduk.kg website.

Another method is online through the Tunduk application, where users can register and obtain a cloud electronic signature (CES). This option is currently part of a pilot project, aiming for permanent implementation upon successful completion.

Additionally, EDS can be acquired through MegaPay or MBANK services, each requiring specific steps for registration and confirmation. The process includes entering personal information, agreeing to terms, and completing identification procedures to receive the electronic signature.

For individuals, EDS can also be obtained at branches of OJSC "Halik Bank Kyrgyzstan" using Face ID cameras for identification. The EDS is valid for 12 months and can be renewed online without the need to visit any physical location. Users will receive notifications in advance about the expiration date and guidance on how to extend the electronic signature correctly.

For legal entities, obtaining EDS requires several documents such as agreements, powers of attorney, and copies of registration certificates. The process involves visiting the Tax Service, public service centers, or private companies like DosTek Group and UBR.

Overall, the availability of various methods for obtaining and renewing EDS facilitates access to a wide range of electronic services for individuals and legal entities, enhancing efficiency and convenience in digital transactions.
