The Cabinet of Ministers in Kyrgyzstan has decided to organize an agricultural census in 2025. This significant statistical operation aims to collect quantitative data on the structure of agriculture, playing a crucial role in food security and the growth of the agricultural sector. The Prime Minister, Akylbek Japarov, signed the corresponding resolution.

The primary objective of the census is to gather comprehensive, unbiased, and precise information on the essential features of agriculture, aligning with international standards. The upcoming agricultural census in Kyrgyzstan is set to occur from November 1 to 20, 2025, with a focus on counting livestock and poultry simultaneously.

A trial agricultural census is planned for November 1 to 20, 2024, in specific areas of the Aravan district in the Osh region and the Issyk-Ata district in the Chui region. This trial will serve as preparation for the comprehensive census in 2025.

The agricultural census encompasses various entities such as state and collective farms, peasant households, farms of individual entrepreneurs involved in agriculture, and personal subsidiary households of the population within Kyrgyzstan. Documentary evidence of land use is required for conducting the census effectively.
