In the coming days, a job creation program will be approved in Kyrgyzstan following the president's directive. A high-ranking official from the presidential administration announced this during a closed briefing today.
According to him, the economic development indicators of Kyrgyzstan for January-February 2024 are quite good. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region. Therefore, the opening of 100 industrial facilities is planned to coincide with the anniversary. However, the official believes that in reality, there will be many more new facilities.
"This year, we plan to create 250,000 jobs. These figures are specified by regions, districts, down to the village level. The goal of this year is to achieve the opening of production facilities, small businesses, so that people can find their place in our country. Many jobs will be permanent. There are seasonal and student jobs as well. The 'Social Contract' program will continue. Through the Ministry of Labor, 20,000 people will receive payments of at least 100,000 soms so they can support themselves. In practice, they create 3-4 jobs, help neighbors and relatives, and create employment opportunities," he said.
