In recent years, the structure of electricity consumption in Kyrgyzstan has been evolving. This was announced today by the Deputy Minister of Energy, Taalaibek Baigaziev, at the XIII Atomexpo Forum.

According to him, currently, more than 50-55 percent of all electricity consumption is attributed to the population. However, this percentage is decreasing.

"In recent years, the growth in electricity consumption has averaged 8-10 percent. In this structure, there is an increasing share of other consumers. The economy is developing, and the industrial sector is also growing," stated Taalaibek Baigaziev.

Earlier data indicated that approximately 80-85 percent of all electricity in the country was consumed by the population.
