Ministry Urges Farmers to Breed Livestock by Regional Zoning

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry strongly recommends breeding agricultural animals according to regional zoning. The ministry's press service provided examples of which regions in the country are more profitable for breeding pedigree livestock.

For cattle:

- Alatau, Aberdeen Angus, Hereford, and Brown Swiss breeds are recommended for breeding in all regions of the republic.

- In Talas region, the Aulie-Ata breed is preferred, while in Chui, Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad, and Osh regions, the Simmental breed is recommended.

- The Holsteinized (black and white) breed adapts better in Chui, Jalal-Abad, and Osh regions.

For yaks:

- The Aikol breed is recommended in Talas, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions.

- The Kyrgyz breed is preferred in Batken.

For sheep:

- The Kyrgyz fine-fleeced breed, Gissar, and Kyrgyz meat-wool breed "Arashan" are recommended in all regions of the country.

- The Kyrgyz mountain Merino showed high results in several regions.

- The Kyrgyz prolific type of sheep is desirable in specific regions.

- The Aikol breed is recommended in certain regions.

For goats:

- The Kyrgyz cashmere and wool breeds are recommended in Batken.

- The Kyrgyz dairy type of goats is recommended in Chui.

For horses:

- Novo-Kyrgyz, draft, English Thoroughbred, and riding breeds are recommended in all regions.

- The Russian Trotter breed is recommended in specific regions.

- The Donskaya breed is recommended in certain regions.

To enhance the livestock sector, the Ministry of Agriculture urges farmers to adhere to and implement the above-mentioned data. Implementing the method of regional zoning on the ground is crucial for quality transformation in animal husbandry.
