A new high-voltage substation named "Ak-Kula" is scheduled to be constructed near the new hippodrome in Bishkek. This development was announced by the OJSC "NEC".
As per the company's information, within the capital construction and reconstruction plan for the current year, the NEC branch - the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise, plans to begin the construction of the new 110/10 kilovolt "Ak-Kula" substation.
Construction is planned to commence in April 2024, with a land plot already allocated by the city hall. Preparatory activities are currently ongoing, including the formulation of engineering and technical requirements and geological surveys.
The funding for the project will be sourced from the OJSC "National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan"'s own resources.
On March 21, the President of Kyrgyzstan laid the foundation stone for the new "Ak-Kula" hippodrome construction, which will be located in the western part of Bishkek.
