The Ministry of Economy and Commerce reported that Kyrgyzstan's GDP per capita reached $1,969.2 in 2023. The ministry noted that from 2015 to 2020, the GDP per capita showed slow growth, averaging 1.6 percent, influenced by market volatility and moderate economic development.
Since 2021, there has been an acceleration in economic growth, leading to a significant increase in GDP per capita by an average of 17.3 percent. Over the past three years, the average economic growth was 6.9 percent, with 2021 at 105.5 percent, 2022 at 109 percent, and 2023 at 106.2 percent.
Preliminary estimates indicate that last year, the GDP per capita reached $1,969.2 compared to $1,350.7 in 2021. The Ministry of Economy highlighted that if the current level of economic growth is maintained, Kyrgyzstan could achieve above-average income levels by 2032.
