Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov revealed in an interview with the "Kabar" agency that the National Bank currently holds 51 tons of gold in reserves. He highlighted the significant increase in the country's gold reserves over the past three years, with a growth of 35 tons since 2020, compared to a total of 16 tons accumulated in the 30 years of independence leading up to 2020.

President Japarov also shared that the country's international reserves have reached $3.491 billion, a substantial increase from the $2.424 billion recorded from the time of independence until 2020. He credited the National Bank's team for adding $1.067 billion to the reserves in just three years.

Furthermore, Japarov emphasized that the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has successfully reduced the inflation rate to 5.2 percent. He attributed this achievement to the bank's sound policies, stating that Kyrgyzstan's inflation rate is currently lower compared to other countries. Japarov expressed confidence in the National Bank's approach, underscoring the positive impact it has had on the country's economic stability.
