Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov is currently in Washington, USA to take part in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group. The announcement was made by the government's press service.

During his visit, he will engage in discussions with leaders of various international financial institutions and organizations including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, USAID, the American-Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and the European Investment Bank.

The key topics on the agenda will revolve around the development of the hydropower sector, with a specific focus on the Kambarata-1 Hydropower Plant construction project. Other topics of discussion will include economic prospects, climate change challenges, and the advancement of the "Polar Star" school education transformation program.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister has a series of meetings planned with representatives from prominent financial and technological corporations in the USA.
