According to the latest IMF review, the GDP of Kyrgyzstan is expected to grow by 4.4 percent by the end of the year, slightly higher than the 4.3 percent forecasted in October 2023. The growth is projected to slow down to 4.2 percent in 2025.
In addition to the GDP forecast, the IMF has also revised its inflation projections. While in October of last year, the IMF predicted an inflation rate of 8.6 percent for 2024, the current forecast stands at 6.7 percent. The inflation rate is expected to further decrease to 6.6 percent in 2025.
Other financial institutions have also provided their GDP growth forecasts for Kyrgyzstan in 2024:
- World Bank: 4 percent
- National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic: 3.9 percent
- Asian Development Bank: 5 percent
These improved economic forecasts indicate a positive outlook for Kyrgyzstan's economy in the coming years, with steady growth and controlled inflation rates.
