The lamp factory in Mayluu-Suu is undergoing a transformation to produce new goods, as reported by the State Property Management Agency. The enterprise is planning to venture into glassware production, expand LED lamp manufacturing, construct a small hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 26.4 megawatts on the Mayluu-Suu River, open mini sewing workshops, and start producing mineral wool for insulation purposes.
One of the main goals of the factory is to start producing glass bottles and jars. Preparation for equipment installation is underway, with construction work commencing for an additional building. Furthermore, the glassware production line will be acquired from the German glass technology supplier "Heye International." This expansion is expected to create 50 new job opportunities.
The first batch of finished products is projected to be ready by the end of this year. The Mayluu-Suu Lamp Factory Joint-Stock Company was established in 1966 and currently manufactures 40 types of incandescent lamps. The factory's annual financial turnover amounts to around $11 million, providing employment for over 1,300 individuals. Its products are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
