The closed joint-stock company "Kumtor Gold Company" will pay OJSC "Kyrgyzaltyn" $151.3 million in dividends, which is $11.3 million more than in 2022. After the payment by "Kumtor" to the state of dividends for the previous year, the total income of Kyrgyzstan from shares in the gold mining company for 2022 and 2023 will amount to $291.3 million.
This amount is almost three times higher than the dividends received by the country from the Canadian Centerra Gold Inc. From 2010 to 2021, the total amount of dividends from Centerra amounted to $101.7 million.
