Partnership Agreement Reached Between Kyrgyzstan and World Bank for Kambaratinskaya HPP-1

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, and the leadership of the World Bank group have agreed to develop a financial model for cooperation within the construction of the Kambaratinskaya HPP-1. This collaboration was announced by the government's press service.

During the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank group in Washington, Akylbek Japarov held meetings with the World Bank's Regional Director for Economics and Finance, Asad Alam, and the Vice President of the World Bank for Human Development, Mamta Murthi.

The discussions with Asad Alam focused on the country's economic memorandum project and partnership framework strategy, while the talks with Mamta Murthi revolved around collaboration in the social sphere, including education, healthcare, and social protection.

Following the meetings, an agreement was reached to enhance the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank, with a focus on developing a financial model for cooperation within the construction of the Kambaratinskaya HPP-1.
