Kyrgyzstan's Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev recently engaged with various international development partners in Washington, such as the Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and others. The primary objective of the visit was to advocate for the Kambaratinsk HPP-1 mega-project, which is poised to enhance the country's hydroelectric potential significantly.

During these meetings, two agreements were successfully inked, totaling $42.64 million. The first agreement, "Development of Sustainable Agri-food Clusters" ($35 million), aims to extend loans to dairy and horticultural clusters by supporting producers and fostering partnerships between producers and aggregators/processors.

The second agreement, "Sustainable Development of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation" ($7.64 million), is geared towards enhancing access to clean drinking water for rural populations in the Osh, Chui, and Issyk-Kul regions.
