Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Energy, Taalaibek Ibraev, announced today at a briefing that power consumption limits have been reduced for the citizens. According to him, for subscribers with single-phase input, the limits have been decreased to 4 kilowatts, and for three-phase input, to 8 kilowatts. This system operates in "smart" ASKUE meters.
"The power limits were reduced starting from March 5. If a subscriber was using 5 kilowatts, their electricity will be cut off. They will then need to unplug one heater from the socket and continue using electricity," stated Taalaibek Ibraev.
These limits entail restrictions on the power consumed, not the quantity of energy. In simpler terms, each individual can simultaneously operate a limited number of electrical devices. If this limit is exceeded, the electricity will simply be disconnected.
