The State Mortgage Company has announced the simplification of the procedure for migrants to submit electronic applications for state mortgages on the GIK portal. According to the company's press service, applications from migrants living abroad are now being accepted.
The application process is linked to Kyrgyz phone numbers, with SMS messages being sent to them. To further streamline the process, work is underway to implement virtual SIM cards, as explained by the State Mortgage Company.
Migrants also have access to the "Shared Construction" mechanism, where they are required to make a 50% down payment and pay the remaining amount over 15 years at an 8% annual interest rate.
GIK reports that 29,000 applications for state mortgages have been approved to date, with 18,900 families in the queue. A total of 9,420 families have been provided with housing.
Since 2021, the State Mortgage Company has received 10.7 billion soms from the budget for these initiatives.
