On March 27, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, Husrev Noziri, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the conference "Key Directions and Potential of Tourism Development in Turkmenistan." This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen side expressed confidence that the participation of ECO representatives in the conference would contribute to strengthening cooperation with the Organization in the tourism sector. The energy sector was identified as a promising area for cooperation with the ECO.
During the meeting, the interaction with the Organization in the transportation sector through the use of Turkmenistan's transit opportunities along the North-South and East-West corridors was discussed.
At the end of the meeting, mutual confidence in further strengthening fruitful cooperation was expressed.
