In July of the current year, specialists from the State Association of Turkmenistan "Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant "Balkan" and the South Korean company Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co. are planning to construct two dry cargo ships. This information was reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".
The Turkmen and Korean companies have signed a contract for the joint design and construction of two dry cargo ships with a capacity of 6,100 tons and have already begun preparations for the construction. More than 300 workers will be involved in the project implementation.
For their Turkmen colleagues, the Korean shipbuilders conducted a two-month specialized training course on construction planning, technology implementation, ship component design, welding, electrical installation work, and quality control.
