On March 27th, a Turkmen-Japanese business forum took place in Tokyo, organized with the assistance of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the forum's opening ceremony, Chairman and Executive Director of JETRO Norihiko Ishiguro and Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan Begench Gochmollaev addressed the audience. They highlighted the readiness to enhance Turkmen-Japanese economic cooperation, emphasizing the need for the opening of a Turkmenistan Trading House in Japan and a JETRO representative office in Turkmenistan.
The forum consisted of three sessions focusing on cooperation in the areas of investments, industry, transportation, and logistics. Attention was given to partnerships in the private sector and the presentation of the Turkmen national pavilion at the "EXPO-2025" exhibition in Osaka.
