The shipbuilding and ship repair plant "Balkan" is set to utilize advanced technologies obtained from the Korean company "Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd." As reported by the online publication Asmannews.
The new Korean equipment will enable the enterprise to build up to 5 ships per year, meeting the growing demand. Prior to the introduction of the new equipment, the plant constructed up to 4 ships per year. The cutting-edge technologies in shipbuilding will also contribute to the development of export opportunities.
The plant is actively expanding its own production capacities, aiming to enhance the quality and variety of ships. The transfer of Korean technologies demonstrates Turkmenistan's commitment to integrating into the global shipbuilding community.
