The head of the "Turkmenrailways" agency, Azat Atamyradov, met with the Ambassador of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan, Vafo Niyatbekzoda. The sides discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the railway transport sector, aiming to increase freight volumes between the two countries. Turkmenistan invited a Tajik delegation to Ashgabat to discuss logistics development and boosting mutual trade.
The Tajik Ambassador expressed the country's interest in joining the international multimodal corridor CASCA+. Both parties agreed to hold an online meeting between the heads of railway authorities of the two countries as part of implementing the Agreement on Strengthening Interconnectivity of Land Transport in Central Asia.
