During his official visit to Tajikistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, announced the readiness to organize supplies of electricity and natural gas to Tajikistan through the territory of Uzbekistan. Gas and electricity supplies were identified as one of the priority areas of bilateral cooperation. Turkmenistan expressed willingness to discuss technical, organizational, and other relevant issues related to the deliveries. If necessary, a trilateral meeting will be held with experts from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan also stated its readiness to increase the volume of oil product supplies to Tajikistan to meet the needs of the Tajik side.
