During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Deputy Prime Minister Khodjamyrat Geldymyradov presented a report on the macroeconomic indicators of the national economy for the first quarter of 2024. The report highlighted an 8.8% increase in the volume of production compared to the same period last year, with retail turnover up by 11%. The state budget's revenue was at 102.9% while expenditure stood at 97.6%.
Additionally, wages at medium and large enterprises saw a 10% increase. Capital investments aimed at developing the national economy rose by 25.3% compared to the first quarter of the previous year. It was also noted that out of the planned 320 projects for construction and reconstruction by 2028, construction has been completed on 20, active construction is ongoing on 207, and preparations have begun for the rest.
