Turkmenistan's gas sales to the People's Republic of China in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to $2.4 billion. This information was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".
In addition to Turkmen gas, China also receives liquefied natural gas from Australia, Qatar, and Malaysia, totaling around 14 million tons. The export value of gas to China from these countries stood at $3.6 billion, $3.1 billion, and $1.15 billion, respectively.
The delivery of Turkmen gas to China is carried out through three pipelines passing through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan along the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China route. The total designed capacity of the pipeline is 55 billion cubic meters per year.
