Turkmenistan's Central Bank Emphasizes Green Economy at International Investment Forum

In the course of the international forum on attracting foreign investments in the energy sector of Turkmenistan in Paris, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan M. Palivanov spoke. This was reported by the online publication "TurkmenPortal".

In his speech, he highlighted the increasing role of developing the "green economy" without harming the environment. M. Palivanov emphasized the growing importance of investments from the public and private sectors aimed at more rational energy and natural resources usage, reducing natural emissions, preserving biological diversity, and minimizing ecosystem losses.

It was noted that the banking system of Turkmenistan has broad opportunities for integration into the international financial system. Turkmenistan is already collaborating with major financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, the Working Group on Anti-Money Laundering, the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism.
