In the city of Doha, State of Qatar, the Third Meeting of the Arab Economic Cooperation Forum with the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan took place from April 29 to 30, with the participation of the Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy B. Yalakov. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the Turkmen side's speech, the special importance of joint efforts to ensure the sustainable development of Azerbaijan, the Central Asian countries, and Arab states was highlighted. Priority areas of multilateral cooperation were identified, including trade, industry, transportation, energy, and the environment.
A meeting between the Turkmen delegation and the head of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar took place. The prospects for cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres were discussed during the meeting. The need for organizing high-level visits, mutual cultural days, and meetings of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission was also emphasized.
