During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on May 3, Deputy Prime Minister X. Geldimyradov presented a report on the macroeconomic indicators for January-April 2024. This was reported by the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
According to the report, the GDP growth rate reached 6.3%. The volume of production compared to the same period last year increased by 11.4%. Retail turnover saw an increase of 11.1%.
The revenue side of the budget was fulfilled at 102.6%, while the expenditure side was at 97.4%. The average wage at large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 10.4% compared to the same period last year. The volume of capital investments increased by 23.9%. The Deputy Prime Minister also presented a report to the President of the country on the implementation of the National Rural Program.
The head of state gave instructions on further measures to strengthen the country's economic potential and improve the socio-economic level of citizens.
